Grey and Pink Agate Necklace with Oriental Repousse

Handmade item. This chunky long necklace is made with large grey faceted round Agate gemstone beads and dark pink teardrops at the back. As focal points, we used two large and four small Tibetan Repousse beads on both sides of the necklace that are of a special gold color. These metal beads are unique and rare. Repousse beads are hand carved by local artisans in Nepal in which a malleable metal is sculpted by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief.

These gold-plated beads are also called “Geru” beads as they are polished red with a special soil to give it a rich antique look.
